Description
A delicious creamy mozzarella alfredo pizza made from scratch.
Ingredients

- 5 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp yeast
- 2 Tbsp dry milk
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 cups warm water
- 2 cups alfredo sauce (divided)
- 4 cups grated mozzarella cheese (divided)
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (divided)
- 1 oz cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/8 tsp salt and pepper
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine all the pizza dough ingredients and knead 10 minutes to make a smooth dough. Allow dough to rise until doubled in size (apprx 45 min in warmed oven).
- In a small saucepan melt the cream cheese over medium heat. Whisk in the butter until smooth. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil. Add the garlic, salt and pepper and simmer until thick. Whisk in the cheese until melted. Remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 450°F. Grease two large pizza pans with 2 Tbsp of oil, each. Divide the pizza dough in half and form two 14″ circles right inside the pizza pans. Indent the center with finger tips and slightly leave a thicker border for the crust.
- Spread 1 cup of alfredo all over the top surface including the crust.
- Top each pizza with 2 cups of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup parmesan cheese. Bake 15-20 minutes rotating once.
Notes
- For best results, use warm water to activate the yeast.
- Allow the dough to rise in a warm place for optimal flavor and texture.
