- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz whipped topping, thawed
- 2 cans (21 oz each) cherry pie filling
- Optional: maraschino cherries, fresh mint leaves, extra crushed pretzels or chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar until combined. Press into a 9×13-inch pan to form crust. Bake for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1 cup sugar until smooth. Gently fold in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over the cooled crust, reaching all edges.
- Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the creamy layer. Spread gently without disturbing the layer underneath.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
- Slice and garnish with maraschino cherries, mint leaves, or extra pretzels/pecans as desired.
Notes
- This dessert is best served cold.
- For a variation, try using different pie fillings like blueberry or peach.
