- 1 lbs beef steak, cubed
- 4 large potatoes, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp salt
- 0 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, melt the butter and cook the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the cubed beef steak and brown on all sides.
- Stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in a baking dish and pour the beef mixture over them.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to substitute the beef steak with ground beef if preferred.
