Description

A quick and easy recipe for creamy garlic shrimp that is perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then sauté for about 3 minutes per side until pink. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream while stirring continuously for even mixing. Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, allowing them to simmer in the sauce for another 2 minutes.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a little extra spice, add red pepper flakes to the shrimp while cooking.
