Description

These baked maple bananas are a delicious and easy dessert, perfect served warm with vanilla ice cream.


Ingredients

  • 3 bananas
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Melt the butter in a small dish, then whisk in the maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt.
  3. Slice the bananas in half lengthwise and place on an oven safe baking dish or in a cast iron pan.
  4. Drizzle the maple butter mixture on top and spread it evenly over the bananas.
  5. Bake for about 15 minutes or until the bananas are soft and the glaze is a little bubbly.
