Ingredients

- ½ small onion, finely diced
- 3 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- For Garnish:
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir in the shredded cabbage and cook for several minutes until it softens.
- Mix in soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Taste and adjust with salt and black pepper if needed.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be served over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
