Description

Ingredients

  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 2 packages instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 23 drops of green food coloring (optional)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F and grease a bundt pan well with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or in a large bowl with an electric hand mixer), combine dry cake mix, dry pudding mixes, eggs, oil, and sour cream.
  3. Mix on low speed for about 30 seconds to combine, then scrape down the sides of the bowl.
  4. Add hot water and food coloring, if using. Turn mixer back on low speed to combine, then increase to medium-high speed for about 2 minutes.
  5. Pour batter into prepared bundt pan.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Run a knife along the edge of the cake to loosen from the pan, if needed, then invert cake onto a serving plate or wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar, if desired, and serve.
